The hot color in 2011 is shades of purple, so I thought I would share some of my favorite combinations.
-
Pantone colors – Concord & Ice Yellow. For this color combination, I would choose Ice Yellow for the table linens, with Concord chargers and napkins. I would also use Concord as the predominant color in the table centerpieces. I believe this color combination would be most striking for a Fall or Winter wedding.
-
Pantone colors – Pansy & Oyster. For this color combination, I would choose Oyster for the base color of the wedding cake, adding a little shimmer quality to it. Then, the design elements on the cake would be in Pansy…including actual purple pansies. I believe this color combination would be most striking for a Winter or Spring wedding.
-
Pantone colors – Bordeaux & Pistachio. For this color combination, I would choose Pistachio as the dress color for the bridesmaids, with Bordeaux as the predominant color in the bride’s bouquet. I believe this color combination would be most striking for a Spring or Summer wedding.
-
Pantone colors – Tahiti & Appletini. For this color combination, I would choose Tahiti as the ceremony décor (floral, ribbons, etc), with Appletini the primary color in all of the stationery. I believe this color combination would be most striking for a Spring or Summer wedding.
-
Pantone colors – Ice Lilac & Navy Blue. For this color combination, I would choose Navy Blue for the attire of the entire wedding party, with Ice Lilac as accent colors for vests, handkerchiefs, floral accessories, or hair fascinators. I believe this color combination would be most striking for a Fall or Winter wedding.
Not only is purple a color of royalty and elegance, it is also a color that is sacred in nature. It is the perfect color for couples wanting a more formal, elegant theme in their wedding, as well as a perfect choice for couples wanting a natural, organic theme in their wedding. What colors are you using in your 2011 wedding?
