Kate and Garnet: Modern Love

I had the pleasure of working with Kate and Garnet this summer for their modern marvel of a wedding at the Walker Art Center.  The city was the décor for their event, starting with invitations that featured a cutout of the Minneapolis skyline.

The real skyline provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony on the Walker Terraces.  Fresh song choices began the ceremony—the bridesmaids walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of “Lay Lady Lay,” and the bride entered to a string quartet performance of “Yellow.”

The attire of the bridal party perfectly complemented the modern venue.  Kate was a work of art in a chic dress with a romantic texture.  The dark frocks of the bridesmaids were picture-perfect for a formal affair in the city.  The striking bridal bouquet was made of peonies and green dianthus that (almost) stole the show!  For the reception, guests arrived inside the spacious, light-filled landmark of the Walker to find simple table settings with the same peonies and dianthus of Kate’s bouquet.

Kudos to this amazing couple and to members of their team, including Anne and Jake from Ingman Photography, Lisa from Flora Bella, and Tia from www.silvercocoon.com—it was amazing to work with all of you.  And be sure to check out this wedding on the Style Me Pretty blog!
